Sarah joined Adlams LLP in March 2022 as a Partner, heading up the established and well regarded public law care proceedings (children) department. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience, having worked within the arena of children law since 2001, qualifying in 2006 as a Solicitor at a well regarded, niche family law specialist firm in Cambridge.
Sarah also spent some time working as a Locum which has contributed to her wide-ranging experience of representing parents, children, local authorities, guardians, aunts and uncles and grandparents. Sarah is a keen advocate, undertaking her own court work where possible, and is able to assist with the following: –

• Applications for Child Arrangement Orders
• Applications for orders for contact with a child in care
• Special Guardianship Order applications and advice
• Applications to discharge a Care Order
• Representation on revocation of Placement Order applications
• Adoption
• Surrogacy advice and applications for Parental Orders
Sarah is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme.
Sarah also has an additional specialism representing parents and children from the LGBTQ community on more complex, technical aspects of law to include legal parenthood, fertility law and surrogacy.
Sarah has been praised for her empathetic and approachable manner by clients and fellow lawyers alike.
Outside of her career, Sarah is a keen musician, playing regularly in a local orchestra and performing the role of orchestra librarian. She also enjoys spending time with her children.
